Are you an interpreter or a professional and want to learn about communicating with the DeafBlind Community? Join CHS for our second workshop “Introduction to Tactile Communication.”
Learning Objectives:
• Define Tactile communication in the DeafBlind environments.
• Understand through roleplaying the different formats of Tactile communication.
• Learn the common Tactile signs and gestures used in everyday communications between DeafBlind.
• Understand the appropriate boundaries between touch communication and touch personal space.
Workshop is presented in ASL. No voice interpreting will be provided.
0.4 RID CEUs offered ($40). If you do not want CEUs, the workshop is FREE.
Anixter Center Training Institute is an approved RID CMP Sponsor for continuing education activities. This professional studies program is offered for 0.4 CEUs at the “some knowledge needed” level.
